ASSESSING DEAF ADULTS: CRITICAL ISSUES IN TESTING AND
EVALUATION, a new book edited by Judith L. Mounty and David
S. Martin is now available from Gallaudet University Press! The book
analyzes a number of important issues related to the testing of deaf
and hard of hearing adults, including topics related to test
construction, accessibility, fairness, the history of testing deaf
persons, and specific information on licensure testing for particular
professions.
To celebrate publication of the book, a reception will be held on
Monday, December 5, 2005 from 3:30 to 5:30, at Gallaudet University in
the Center for ASL Literacy, Upper Level of the Merrill Learning
Center. An opportunity will be provided for purchase of the book at a
discount, and the editors will sign purchased copies. Refreshments
will be served. All are welcome, but please RSVP by Friday, December
2, to CASLL@gallaudet.edu.
