A Study of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Social Workers

The National Task Force on Equity in Testing Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals advocates for deaf and hard of hearing professionals trying to become licensed in their chosen fields. There has been no formal research on the experiences of deaf and hard of hearing social workers but anecdotal reports suggest that few are licensed. This may limit their job opportunities.

As the co-chair of this task force, and in collaboration with the Gallaudet University Department of Social Work, Dr. Judith Mounty is conducting a study of deaf and hard of hearing social workers' experiences with education, employment, and licensing.

To participate in the study, please download, print, and complete the attached consent form and survey.
